For this collection we were inspired by staying at home and dreaming of travel.
We fantasised about exploring rolling hills and sprawling landscapes. Georgia O'Keeffe's photography and paintings influenced ever more dramatic silhouettes, shapes and details for our garments.
That being said, we also saw the importance in valuing what we’d had in our immediate surroundings. We were inspired to see the beauty in the minutia of the everyday, the domestic, and the ordinary.
Comfort is always key at Birdsong. We’re offering spacious maxi dresses, structured house coats, and updated signature wrap styles for this collection, to bring both fun and drama to your everyday cocoon. Layer our new collection with our cloud soft sweatshirts, house shoes and tees to stay toasty inside.

"Birdsong sells itself as the antidote to fast fashion, producing wilfully trend-free designs. In contrast to opaque, multinational fast fashion supply chains, workers are Londoners facing barriers to work, including adults with learning disabilities to refugees, all of whom are paid a living London wage."

Our sweatshirt bases are manufactured in Southern India with a 90% C02 reduction compared to regular sweatshirts. This is achieved by a combination of low-impact organic farming, efficiency in manufacturing and transportation, and the use of renewable energy instead of the fossil fuel based grid electricity.

"We played with traditional florals, exploding them with unusual colour combinations and strong graphics.
Our bones print is a fun take on designer-to-country-stars Nudie Cohn, Western Prairies and a reminder not to take life too seriously, particularly in these times."- Susanna Wen, Designer and Creative Director at Birdsong
