We’re popping up

In incredibly exciting news, we’re popping up IRL for the first time. During the run up to Christmas, we’re hosting a pop-up shop in Old Street, 46 Charlotte Road, from the 13th to 19th December. We have 1000 sqft of space to share with brands with a similiar ethos including THINX, Clio Peppiatt, Katie Jones, Auria, Polyester, Riposte & more.

In addition to stocking the Birdsong AW16 collection, we’ll be featuring gifts for all the best women in your life, as well as somethings for the boys and everyone in between. Whether you’re after a magazine, new season partywear, or makers of beautiful stationery, there’s something in our pop-up for you. Invite your pals here.

Events timetable

Wednesday 14th December, 6-7pm

Birdsong and Yaddo are hosting an evening of documentary shorts by Brazil-based filmmaker Ana Terra Athayde in our Shoreditch pop-up shop.

Thursday 15th December, Launch Night: Birdsong X Thinx from 6pm

The Birdsong Concept Store launches on 13 December. To celebrate the opening of our feminist superstore, we’re hosting a launch event with drinks and Polyester DJs from 6pm onwards. Hosted in partnership with patriarchy smashing, period proof underwear brand Thinx.

Friday 16th December, 6-7pm

Birdsong and Fashion Revolution invite you to come to our Charlotte Road pop-up space wearing an item you love. In addition to a talk by Fashion Revolution on their Love Story campaign, we want you to tell us about your wardrobe’s Love Story.

Saturday 17th December, 6-8pm

Birdsong and Incredible Brilliant Youth partner on an event helping you to make fashion part of your Future Choices. A panel of industry experts give their take on what it’s like to work in the world of fashion and how you can get into it.

Sunday 18th December, 1-2pm

Nail Transphobia and Birdsong collaborate on the first of a series of workshops for trans women in subject areas that trans women often need advice and help with at the start of transition.

The series of events will begin with a workshop in makeup ‘nailing : make-up’. The class will be taught by professional make-up artist Grace Vee (clients include Dazed, Hunger and i-D) and will teach the women how to colour-correct a five o’clock shadow and how to use contour and highlight to create a more feminine face shape.

Feminist Book Club, 4-5pm

Birdsong invites you to book club. Come and watch some fellow feminists talk about their favourite books and pick up a recommendation.
